Our mission at CECLEF is to preserve the life and legacy of Cesar E. Chavez. What started out with humble beginnings in 1996 as a way to pay tribute to my friend and mentor in the first Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice in San Antonio, has now become the largest Cesar Chavez March in the United States. I am also happy to see that our annual march through Downtown San Antonio has become a beautiful tradition for our city!
This year marks the 20TH Anniversary of the Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice and we are excited to announce that City Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales will serve as this year's Grand Marshal.
I hope you'll join me as we celebrate in full Si Se Puede spirit, an American role model and hero, Cesar E. Chavez on Saturday, March 26th. I ask that you don't come alone and don't come without your canned goods for The San Antonio Food Bank. Farm Workers feed a nation, let's join together on that day to help feed a community in the Spirit of La Causa! Si Se Puede... Si Se Puede and Viva Cesar Chavez... VIVA!!!!
